Virtual Talk Therapy provides an individualized approach to address life problems and help you identify and receive personalized treatment from wherever you are in New Mexico. You can talk with a licensed therapist to receive counseling for a variety of challenges and transitions.

How it Works
Sign In: Log into your MyChart account. If you don’t have one, you will need to create one.
Select Your Appointment: Follow the steps to schedule an appointment.
Check Your Email: After scheduling, you will receive an email with confirmation and instructions. You will also receive reminders prior to your appointment.
Complete eCheck-In: Complete this before your appointment to access the video link.
Join the Video Call: A few minutes before your appointment, log into MyChart, find your appointment, and click the Join Video link. You will wait in a virtual waiting room until your provider joins. Note: If you have not completed eCheck-In you will not be able to join the video call.
Virtual Talk Therapy uses Presbyterian Medical Group care team members.

*Presbyterian Virtual Talk Therapy accepts most major insurance. Charges related to telehealth services are determined by your insurance plan. Please check with your health insurer if you have any questions.

Yes, you can. You will need to set up proxy access via MyChart. How to Request Proxy Access
Virtual Talk Therapy:
Cannot treat children under the age of 18
Will not prescribe medications for treatment of your mental health condition
Is not for serious illness including acute psychosis, or other severe conditions (Emergency Care is recommended)

For a video appointment, you will need a device that has a camera and audio capabilities. This can include a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

If you need assistance, please call Technical Service at
or , 24 hours, 7 days a week.Your provider will email or text you a new video link to re-establish connectivity. If you are unable to connect, your appointment will be rescheduled.

If you are currently traveling or living outside of the state, our providers will be unable to treat you during a video appointment. At this time, our providers are only licensed to practice medicine in New Mexico.
You will not be charged for two visits for the same reason on the same day. Presbyterian may charge two (2) separate fees for two (2) visits made on the same day when the provided service or procedure is distinctly different. If a visit is made on a different day or the day after the initial visit, a fee may also apply. Your insurance plan will determine what is covered. Please contact your insurance plan for any questions you may have.
